Hi, I’m Jasmin Hackmann! Welcome to my blog "Ve Eat Cook Bake", and thank you for stopping by. I’m a food blogger, recipe developer, and food photographer who has found pure joy in creating plant-based recipes that nourish both the body and the soul. My passion for food is deeply rooted in a love for cooking, creating, and sharing meals that bring people together. My family inspires me every day and has been at the heart of my cooking from the very beginning.

How It All Began
I’ve always loved being in the kitchen. From middle school cooking classes to preparing meals for family and friends, I’ve spent years experimenting and letting creativity guide me. But I’ll admit, in those early days, I didn’t put much thought into nutrition. I would cook whatever I felt like—sometimes healthy, sometimes indulgent. For the most part, I loved incorporating lots of vegetables into my dishes, but it wasn’t until I became a mom that I started looking at food in a completely new way.
When my first child came along, I started thinking more about what I was feeding our family. It wasn’t just about taste anymore—it was about health, our values, and making choices that aligned with what I believed in. By late 2016, I had spent countless nights reading about plant-based living, studying nutritional needs, and learning how to create wholesome meals. We began slowly, trying more vegan meals at home, and before long, our plant-based lifestyle became second nature. It was the best decision we’ve made for our health, the planet, and our peace of mind.
Years of Research and Practical Knowledge
Over the years, I’ve poured myself into researching plant-based nutrition, learning about the best ways to create balanced and nourishing meals for both adults and growing kids. I’ve spent hours studying ingredient combinations, understanding plant-based protein sources, and creating recipes that fuel our bodies while still being totally delicious.
But research alone didn’t get me here—it’s been years of hands-on experience in the kitchen that taught me what works and what doesn’t. I’ve had my fair share of recipe flops, but those moments only fueled my determination to keep trying. Now, after all these years, I feel confident in my ability to craft recipes that aren’t just healthy but are also approachable, satisfying, and packed with flavor.
Why I Started This Blog
I vividly remember how overwhelming it felt when we first transitioned to a plant-based diet. I often wished there was one place where someone could guide me through it all—how to cook, what to buy, and where to start. That’s why I started this blog. My goal is to be that resource for you, whether you’re brand new to plant-based cooking, curious about trying a vegan recipe or two, or a longtime plant-based eater looking for fresh ideas.
For me, food isn’t just about eating—it’s about sharing, connecting, and creating a sense of joy. This blog is my way of sharing what I’ve learned so you can spend less time worrying about what to make and more time enjoying the process.
