Ingredients

  • 2 cans jackfruit
  • ¼ diced onion
  • ¼ cup chopped pineapple
  • 4 whole-wheat buns

Sauce

  • ¼ cup tomato passata
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • ¾ T unsweetened pineapple juice
  • 1 tablespoon ahornsirup
  • ¼ teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • ¼ tsp. garlic powder onion ,salt, dry mustard powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon molasses
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper or more depends on you ;)

Guacamole

  • 2 medium sized avocados
  • 1 tablespoon fresh-squeezed lime juice
  • ½ tsp. chili powder
  • ½ tsp. sea salt
  • 2 teaspoon finely chopped green onion

Instructions

  • Wash the jackfruit well and cut off the hard part. We only need the soft part. If necessary, remove pits.
  • Preheat the oven to 200 ° C. For the sauce, stir all ingredients in a bowl. Now put the jackfruit in the sauce. And put it on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.Bake it for around 15 min. If you do not have a convection oven it takes a bit longer. Now take the jackfruit with a fork apart. Add the pineapple pieces and bake again for at least 5 minutes in the oven.
  • For the guacamole, place all ingredients except the green onions in a blender and mix well. Finally, stir the green onions under.
  • You can serve the burger as you see in the photos.
