Vegan Green bean salad with oil-free vinegar dressing

This vegan green bean salad is one of my favorite salads when it comes to fast and you do not have time to prepare anything else with vegetables. You need just 7 ingredients and you've created this delicious vegan green bean salad. It not only tastes great with grilled foods, but as a side for just about any other main course. Especially on hectic days, this oil-free salad is always welcome.

Ingredients

  • 1 glass / can of green beans or 400 g fresh beans cut into pieces and cooked
  • 2 teaspoons of vinegar essence*
  • ½ cup of the cooking/canning water
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon white pepper ground
  • ½ teaspoon savory dried
  • ½ onion diced
  • 2 garlic cloves chopped or 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt & Pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Put the beans with the cooking/ canning liquid in a bowl.
  • If you did not buy cut beans, then cut them into bite-sized pieces.
  • Now add the vinegar and the spices.
  • Let it all stand for a few minutes and use pepper and salt for taste.

Notes

*you can use the "normal" vinegar (5%) as well just omit 2 tablespoon of the green bean liquid and take 2 tablespoon of the normal vinegar. But it really tastes better with the essence. In Germany we love to use the essence for cooking.
